Argentos formed in 1996 in Ney York, recording in 1998 the first CD The Argentos, directed by Richard Nanty joining for this occasion Jeff Ballard and Diego Urcola.
Back in Buenos Aires in 2000, Nant rearmed Argentos and recorded the second CD, 'Manifestando', and the third, 'Vetas', with musicians Pablo Rodriguez, Pipi Piazzolla, Gustavo Musso, Alvaro Torres and Matias Mendez among others.
Plachta adds in 2008 for presentations of Vetas, including a presentation with the saxophonist Miguel Zenon as guest.
In 2011 they record "Alberto Ginastera x Argentos" in the cycle "Rare Scores" produced by the National Library.
From 2013 onwards they work on new music with Alvaro Torres (piano), Richard Nant (trumpet and percussion), Matias Mendez (bass), Carto Brandán (drums), Gabriel Juncos (flute), Alan Plachta (guitar).
